Eraser, that's my hope as well: not worrying about microing workers should free up players to focus on the fun part of an RTS game: using your units. Positioning, micro, activated abilities, map control.

But, despite the relative paucity of gameplay footage, there's been a lot of concern about how this game is going to be played. In addition, it could be really useful for pro players to see high-level gameplay, to get them excited, or at least thinking about, End of Nations.

Again, I'm not a pro. I'm just suggesting a piece of marketing that could work to assuage the fears of the common gamer and potentially interest some more pros in the game.

Grant it, actual combat vids of some PVP would be nice, even if they are done similar to SC2s battle reports, but out right advertising the game as an E-Sport contender would be a long stretch. I would definitely want more of those PVP vids first, ALONG with more information about the game engine and content before we start nudging those pros at "... hey, we pay people to be competitive too."

    lets see
im top diamond in starcraft 2 EU server
and to be honest micro is not that much all i do is macroing up rallying my units to the place i want
building more units or buildings or food storage and moving with one scout unit to watch and see what my enemy has
and try to deny my enemy scout thats almost allmacro
in the middle of the battles its proberly A move after using abilites or like FF or Storms or even EMP so u can go warp units or remake ur the dead units or try to deal with a drop etc etc ...
so micro is just not That Much Used in Sc2

but in this game from looking at the videos its Focused more on micro since macro is not much in here
macro here is just sending one unit to cap a thing rather than having to macro a whole base
but in the fights in EON from what we say in these videos u need to micro as hell to win the battle like if have 3 ares one is taking damage its 3/4 of its hp move that ares away move the second ares to front so it take damage once its 3/4 u move it a bit back so the 3rd one that is full hp takes damage
and while doing this u need to watch out for the enemy unit abilites to doge them too
and u need to watch out from the commander abilites
plus u need to watch out from the turrets move away and micro in and out from their range etcetc.....

so if u want micro game go play EON if u want Macro game Go play Sc2

I don't mean to say that EON should necessarily bill itself as an eSport contender, but to keep skilled players interested in the game, it'll need to demonstrate that players will be able to micro their units and that intelligent play matters.

Just my opinion though. I'm not a particularly skilled player myself, and I'm pretty sure I'll be happy with the game no matter what :-p
