Honestly I feel better with that response, thank you. I can wait just don't want to wait on vaporware.

I come back after a week of absence to check the news. What happens? They close both test forums and lock alpha. Amazing.

Well I hope this is what happend, TRION has proven with RIFT they have the development talent !
Well, although I have to agree about petro's recent disappointments, do you honestly think Trion would do better? No offense to Myll Erik who is a great community manager, but he's one dude. No one else has been in direct contact via the community in weeks, and that includes Trion as well as Petro.

Keep in mind that Petro's job as a developer is to build the game, which is what they've been doing. Trion's job as a publisher is to market the product and manage it's community.

Tell me, in recent weeks, how has Trion as a whole done? Regardless of how busy they have been with other projects, why let a game so close to OB and release just drop off the face of the earth communication wise if there wasn't something wrong?

Here's my plan guys: I'm gunna play a game that works. I was thinking Planetside 2 until Star Citizen's Alpha is available.

    You kids have fun.
And I love you too Rozak.

I hope so, Erik. I've been too enthusiastic for this game ever since its announcement, and also the fact that it was made by mostly Westwood Studios developers since their flagship franchise, Command & Conquer, has been taken away undeservingly by EA.

As for everyone else, just calm down.

    Dear Myll Erik

while i am certainly glad to hear that the game is not being canceled .. some people have been saying they'v been offered refunds for there purchases or greenman gaming account credit , what exactly is going on ? , this is the first time i'm seeing a game which refunds its purchases while not being canceled and i'm just confused

Unfortunately he cannot really say much even if he wants to until he is given the go ahead from his management.
I would imagine this is why he is keeping very vague and very short.

Most likely there has been a restructure of sorts or change of pace / strategy by management and the details for next steps want to be clear and agreed upon internally before they release them to us.

Its the natural order of business...but of course things can always be improved.

If the opportunity presents itself I'd like to invest / support End of Nations

    @DNF being a good example
i did not play that game .... but i can a sure u End Of NAtions IS NOT Like that
ive been in the alpha at the week it started ! and i tell u the game CHANGED A LOT not just the UI almost everything in the game has been changed a lot

the UI changed about 3 or 4 (can even be 5) times
    Balancing changed A LOT too
    Graphics Changed quite few times
more units has been added to the game since the start of alpha
unit response and path finding improved by atleast 50%
not counting they Worked on PvE and story mode (which we dont know so much about)
AT Lasts a lot of improvements and remakes of units and their abilities !
    and much more too

thats just in the alpha stage i wont count the past rebuild for the game coz i never got to try it but looking on screen shots and videos it was Hell of an RTS Game

so again i a sure u that EON wont end up like DNF

again would love to say that i am glad to see devs noticing that their game ended up to be an RTT with 26vs26 player with few units with lots of abilities
i think thats all i got

and for my bad english if u didnt understand what i just said above then dont bother :P

And did you not realize that League of Legends itself was a clone of Defense of the Ancients?

Remember that StarCraft II was in development for around seven to eight years. Of course Blizzard happens to have more money and staff than Trion/Petroglyph but still...

Speculation threads like this are fun to read and will keep me entertained until we get some solid info.

Like a list of game issues that caused the open beta to be delayed. I am very curious about those

My guess is that they're probably phasing out the Gorgon, or at least rebalance it in some way.
