Default End of Nations Status Update

Hey guys, I wanted to give you a status update on End of Nations and let you know that we’re still moving full steam ahead with the game.

In light of the recent announcement around postponement of the End of Nations open beta, we wanted to let you know what we have been hard at work getting End of Nations to the quality level it needs to be at. We are committed to delivering the top-notch product we know this game can be, and we are looking forward to welcoming you back into the testing phase of the game to help get it there.

To give you a little sneak peek into what we are working on, some of the changes you’ll notice will include improvements that ease the learning curve for new players, a revamped UI system, advancements in player strategy, and most importantly a more polished overall game.

As End of Nations was reaching the pre-launch phase in its lifecycle, we officially brought the game development in house to Trion Worlds and will complete the development internally. Our team has been hard at work implementing many changes based on your feedback from the beta events. Keep checking back for more updates as we are looking forward to showing off some of the cool new things the team has been working on.

    Thanks
    The End of Nations Team

So does that mean that Petroglyph is no longer involved?

Thank you for the news, Trion taking full control of EON is great news for the game, keep the hard work and your players/customers will follow.

Except for some hand-off stuff, I expect this to mean that Petro is no longer involved.

I'm assuming Lance's announcement here is, at least partially, a response to the news that broke today about 30 Petroglyph employees being laid off. Any word on whether Trion has or is looking to pick up some of those guys?

Aside from people who are now out of work, this is probably the best news that we could have hoped to get.

I rather don't want to see that ... unless it was management at petro to blame, they took way to long developing, and especially on the pathfinding issues. Trion has proven with RIFT to have a much more competent team !

Oh man that's great! I'm so glad to see this. I was very worried that EON was just dead. I'm very excited to see that Trion picked the game up and will be taking over the development from here.

Very excited to see what the game looks like after Trion gets to work on it for a bit.

I hope that we still see this title focused on the RTS side of "MMO" RTS - there are far too many failed MMORTS projects for me to be enthusiastic about a change in that direction. Keep the focus on team-oriented, tactical battles.
