    Docking units to combine strengths....

Maybe not, Cyclops firing Gorgon shells might be a bit on the frustrating side!!!

    It's the Voltron strategy!
People who say it cannot be done should get out of the way of those who are doing it.

My Elo rating for getting laid is 2500.

The question isn't whether or not you survived EoN 2012, but rather, whether or not you survived The Exarchs.

    Just imagine:
You play the mission and see some of the ON diggers, after several moments they connect to each other creating the
    GIGA DRILLL BREAKERRRR!!!11111

Also not bad idea with multiple connect units. for example use 5+ more gorgons and create devastating EMP storm wich disables all units no matter allied or enemy around them.

Or 10+Honey bees which transform at HoneyBee BATTLEPANZAR!!!

If i correctly remember nice example of it was in Nexus:Jupiter incident, when you arm 1 ship with assault laser (GIGA LASER!!11) and 3 others use their generators to supply ship with energy so we get 4-ships weapon platform.

Mind control (a la Yuri's Revenge) could be neat, but I don't think it'd work in the context of this game.

I'd like to see units that could alter how other units work, like the Beam Cannon/Venom from C&C3. The Venom could get an upgrade that doubled the (already impressive!) range of any Beam cannon that fired past it. Or, how multiple Prism Cannons would extend the range and damage of other Prism Cannons. I could see, like, Furies/Arc Turrets/LGs working this way. Like, any unit with a Lightning Attack could extend its attack range through any other Lightning unit, for instance (probably a bad example, but...
that's really a good idea for me, it will make possibilities even bigger.
    What i want to see:

Direct Damage abilities using comes from special units rather than one button click.

You can buy or summon those units making the use of DD CA harder, the units could be destroyable.

You can choose only one DD CA and so one special unit for your layout.

For example you take napalm and you have all the RP needed to use it in a match, rather than spamming it with one button you can call your special commando infantry which provide vision and coordinates for the air strike (more depth, more realistic, harder to use).

The other player can kill the commando and deny your napalm strike.

I was always concerned about too much CA in a RTS game because sometimes units already have abilities and because if it’s too abused you play your game with your CA instead of your units.

This. Much of the time it seemed like it was the CAs (especially the direct damage CAs) that defined the flow of many battles, rather than the units.

This was most apparent on the Patriot, defending mainly consisted of parking your units and keeping your mouse over the defensive CA while you wait for the inevitable mass of DD CA that's about to land.

What if they had a map where each side had a super weapon tank. Like a panzer or something, and the only way to use it is to donate x amount of resources during the match, and then you could watch it wreck havoc on the other team. Make it under AI control, but also destroyable. Might work on say a 5v5, or 6v6 map. something small were it would get lost roaming around the map, and have enough enemy players they stand a chance of destroying it.

They actually had a similar concept to this in one of the 1v1 maps (PvEvP map) where you could spend money to spawn extra units to attack your enemy.

Having a huge super tank doing the same might be nasty
