Best game? Well there has been one game that I have remembered vividly since the PS1, every tiny detail and I could still play it today as well as I could then if not better.
The game was Monster Rancher, yes, it was a raising a pet type of game but it had it all for a PG game, you had your basic monster, you fed it, trained it, entered it in tournaments, combined it with other pets and so on but the one part that made it the best game for me as a kid was that your monster died of old age. I don't mean the dying was good at all but it was very.. emotional, I was only young but I remember pumping hours and days into a single monster and I'll admit to getting very attached to it, there was one in particular, I can't remember what I named it but it looked like this, mine was the green dinosaur/dragon-like one.

I never knew there was 2,3 and 4, only ever got to play the first so that has saddened me now. Anyway for me this is/was the best game for how emotionally involved I got as a child into it plus the overall gameplay still looks pretty solid to me today really.
I have a million ideas, but, they all point to certain death.

My favorite game is portal 2. The story and atmosphere in the game are the best I've seen. The puzzles are also very clever and the co-op is fun (though I never got around to playing the co-op much). Another favorite is starcraft 2. I like how it is easy to understand but very hard to master. Also the varity in the races is nice I used to play the origanal age of empires and all the races were pretty much the same, great game though. Another favorite game is glitch. Glitch is a small mmo but the community is really good.

I'm glad you mentioned R.U.S.E. It's really been ignored and under-rated, so I thought I'd just back you up in mentioning how awesome it is.

My favourite game are CnC Red Alert 1, why because I have played it since around the 4-5 year age, so I grow up playing that game for years...

    Still play it today.

Rome: Total War - The best in the series, STILL In my opinion. I don't play it all that much but when I do? It's like a binge on it for hours. The good mods out there for it just make it even more addicting. I cannot explain why being Emperor of Rome is so fun... wait... I guess I don't have to.

Star Wars Battle Front 2 - I've never LOLed and yelled at my brother so much until I played this game with him. Installed it, got it modded with BFX and we'd play for HOURS online. He would leave his Raids (since he's a pro WoW player when he's home) just to play this game with me. Since we're states apart, it's a great way to hang with him, and it's also just a damned good FPS. Large, epic battles, and unlimited control over any style of combat, be it ground vehicle, infantry or space craft. While Battle Field is fun, there is something more entertaining about having the game progress almost like an FPS version of DotA with the unlock-able class system and having the swarms of A.I. wondering around making the battles feel epic, even when its only 2 human players in game.

Starcraft - The Starcraft universe is SO easy to embellish it's crazy. Most of it is held back because of it's competitive focus, but when I imagine making SC campaigns, I establish a sense of Sci-Fi realism and grim future atmosphere that you just don't get in some games. It's not a Gothic universe, like WH40k, so this slap in your face Dark Sci-Fi appeals to me heavily. Besides that, this game is my first multiplayer experience outside of MMOs. It was also this game's map editor that sealed the deal for me wanting to be a future game designer. Still havn't achieved that dream, but it's still a dream; so long as I have map editors to indulge in.

THQs WH40k Games - DoW 1, 2 and Space Marine were not only refreshing, but exhilarating to see the WH40k universe done as well as they were in these titles. From controlling Necrons and feeling unstoppable, to playing Cpt Titus as an Ultramarine on Space Marine, it's an epic feeling. It's also fun to rub it in the face of Halo/Gears of War kids who think the game is a rip off. I am the Angel of Death! For the Emperor!

Some of my favorite RTS since C&C is Star Wars: Empire at War (<3 Petroglyph) and Dawn of War. I enjoy the tactical gameplay that they provide.

I am an avid RPG player, and my favorite currently is The Witcher 2 and its prequel. I quit playing WoW last August when I started college, and I just love the visuals in addition to the mature-themed storytelling.

It is a very good game with a great premise on deception in an RTS. A shame the game didn't foster a community like Starcraft 2 as well as being released on the same time. R.U.S.E. didn't even have a lobby chat so the multiplayer community couldn't even see or talk to each other. Little things like that can go a long way but other than that R.U.S.E. is a great game.

My favourite game is Settlers of Catan. It is a trading game where you have fun trading sheep for wood ... it is more interesting than it sounds you got to trust me. No one said I wasn't aloud to chose board games :P

I'm a big fan of The Witcher, though sadly I couldn't really get into The Witcher 2. I just didn't like the combat system in that game at all. It felt way too clunky and half-finished and the controls never seemed to work the way they were supposed to.

I started with Runescape. Loved it, played it hard, moved on to a few other games in the Age of Empires series. Play them all long and hard. Had a blast with old friends. Played a bit of LOTRO in the past few years. Looking forward to a new game though.
