Looks like funding is going pretty slowly though. Oh well...

Whoops! My previous post was jacked up, and it's too late to fix it,,,

Anyway, if Petro wants Victory to reach or exceed its funding goals then they should do more promotions and convince other gamers that it's genuinely fun and not some "pay-2-win generic world war II setting game" (sorry Petro). Once again, I bid good luck to them. (I wish I could give them 10$ but I don't have any form of online transactions yet...)

Interesting how they are including the ability to win simply by wiping out your opponents.

It is also interesting to note that a lot of mechanics that we wanted to see in EoN (like directional armor) are showing up in Victory.

Totally, directional armor, high ground advantage, cover and LoS - seems like superweapons are less destructive but more supportive aswell.

Seeing that, i think there is enough love in my heart for two games. Thou, something i dont like too much at victory, is the comic/WW2 mix. Wars are so far from beeing funny, that its hard on the edge to pull a real scenery into a comic world... besides, thinking of WW2 games, there will allways be CoH on my mind, making me compare those games with it.

Still - hope the project works out. Might really get great!

the lobby system and everything really reminds me of EON haha I think thats the main reason I want to play it... It does look like a pretty early build tho... I didnt want to pay $10 extra for immediate access, Im cheap like that.

Personally I think the more successful / awareness they can get the more people will play EON too...

What the? Well remember star citizen? They raised 3 - 6 million (through their site and kickstarter). RIGHT after their successful campaign a new game appeared called Elite Dangerous... Now those guys were probably peeing (couldnt type the other word) themselvs and a lot of their advisors probably said look theres no money, all the kickstarter people just gave all their money to a game in the same genre (some what similar perhaps).

Instead they raised 3 million themselves... NOT only that but Star citizen actually helped promote it, listed it on their own kickstarter campaign AND pledged themselves to show their support..

On the surface level (and my gut reaction) was like crap I hope this doesnt hurt EON.... But really... This could be an opportunity for them to cross promote... Maybe even hold competitions together.. who knows...

If they both have the right attitude it could be interesting... Lets see what Trion does. Of course its early days... but food for thought. Collaboration not Competition....

That and has anyone else seen the armory screenshot they put up on their kickstarter page? Looks familiar... Like I've seen something very simular to it before... hmm...
