Thread: End of Nations Community Event People who say it cannot be done should get out of the way of those who are doing it.
My Elo rating for getting laid is 2500.
The question isn't whether or not you survived EoN 2012, but rather, whether or not you survived The Exarchs.
First: I always feel weird posting in a forum I am new to because I feel like I'm intruding on someone's conversation. Anyone else ever feel like that?
The Point: I wanted to complement the EoN PR team (or community relations management or whatever Trion calls it) on have some of the BEST pre-release communication work. It seems to have been more clear and consistent than I have ever seen for any video game. Mainly the weekly Warfront weekly videos. It makes it clear that this game is REAL and progress is happening. I hate when developers go silent for long periods of time and only release cryptic bits of information to leave people in suspense. I tend to either forget about the game or doubt that it will ever be released (like with Diablo III).
Keep up the amazing work, I really think that you are setting a new standard for the industry (or at least hope you are!)
Cyber, I know you're dying to go, so perhaps if you can find a way to New York, or some other city in the US, they would pay for your expenses after that? Myll, might this be something worth considering?
Good luck to you all. I attended a similar event last year for AOEO and it was a blast!
It's my understanding that when Myll Erik says:
that he's talking about the continent. This fortunately includes all our members in Canada, and not simply "Northern America", the north part of America.
@First:
I understand completely. My first few posts were loaded with apologies for how uninformed I felt I was. You, however, seem to have done your homework a bit before launching straight into our 300th "when does Beta start? How do I download the game?" question thread. Welcome, and I'm looking forward to your input!
@The Point:
If this is your impression, then it's good news. Quite a few of us were concerned that Warfront wasn't enough information and that it wasn't coming at us fast enough. This, however, was predominantly from the perspective of a long time forum regular, and not a new member. Seeing as your join date is today it seems warfront did it's job exactly as intended. We're always going to have players who want more info, and want it now, but at least you can't deny that during it's development, the game exists, the game is progressing, and is being treated very seriously by it's developers.
You should join us at this event, if you can make it. We will have the chance to directly engage Myll Erik about the game, in a couple days from now.
Thank you very much
I did notice that post as I have been browsing threads for all the details about game play that I can find. Unfortunately I will be presenting my project proposal for an Enterprise Resource Planing (E.R.P. for anyone that cares about business lingo) to my management information systems class at that time so I will only be able to catch the end.
Since I might not be able to ask any questions would anyone mind asking these for me? It would be appreciated when I listen to the recording that was promised this the thread.
1) "Certain RTS games are decided by a player's speed to act being fractions of a second quicker than their opponent. Will EoN pace of play be like this or a more manageable pace?"
2) "Since EoN is differentiating it's self from competitor RTS'es with massive team size, where does the ability to and necessity of allied players cooperating fall in the developer's long list of priorities? High or Low?"
I can't seem to find either answer stated as clearly as I would like in any thread.
THANKS TO ANYONE THAT ASKS!
Are we allowed to know the winners?
